About Us

On AtariAge, we are known as CPUWIZ & ShyOne, and calculate we offer a combined wisdom of over 125 years in this crazy world we all live in.

CPUWIZ has over 40 game programming credits to his name, across multiple contemporary platforms, but didn't stop there.  He also branched out into Atari cartridge circuit board design, and has been contributing that skill to the Atari collectors community for about 25 years now, having helped AA put out many of their titles over the years.  In 2013, he designed a circuit board especially for Bob DeCrescenzo's game, "Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest", allowing AA to finally publish the game for fans.

He's an occasionally grumpy German, who ... appearances to the contrary, is most always willing to offer support and assistance to anyone trying to make their way through the process of putting together a Homebrew game.  Ask for help, and you'll probably find that his bark is much worse than his bite ...

Shy One, with only a measly two game credits of her own, falls a bit short in the development arena, but has tried to make up for that shocking lack with her contributions to the graphics side of things.  She's been responsible for creating over 80 quality original or reproduction boxes (clearly marked as such), and well over 100 cartridge labels for the Atari community.  She mostly does those titles that were either never actually released, or are so scarce most of us will never see a real one in the wild.  Or, because somebody wants to propose to his fiancee using a custom Donkey Kong box ... you know ... like people do.  On your book shelf, these boxes work quite nicely, and keep your collection looking oh, so neat and tidy!

She also claims the unique distinction of having made the one, and only, working stained glass Atari 2600 in the entire Universe!  She invites someone to prove her wrong (no, seriously ... if you've done one, she'd LOVE to see what you did!), but until they do, that's her story, and she's sticking to it!

So ...
